Congratulations to our 9 bands from the last Garage Band 101 Concert on May 16th, 2009. The exciting concert featured music from the 2000’s. The 9 bands, including 2 adult bands, played to an enthusiastic audience of cheering fans!

Our Summer Garage Band 101 session started with a record 12 bands, including 2 adult bands! 67 musicians are participating in our latest session with the concerts at the Downtown Napa 4th of July event on the Brown St. Stage, at the Napa Amphitheater Downtown on Friday August 7th and at the Town & Country Fair, August, 13th, 14th & 15th, 2009.

Our GB101 program was created by NSM Director, Peter Sykes, Garage Band 101 is a 11-week rock band program that takes participants through the process of learning and rehearsing in their own band. Each rehearsal is a 90-minute session, once a week, that is overseen by one of our experienced instructors, who are also seasoned performers themselves. At the end of the session, the musicians perform in a rock concert.

We would love to see you all this summer at our performances enjoying the talents of our amazing bands! We can’t think of a better way to spend a summer evening than listening to great music with family and friends.
