Every studio is equipped with an air purifier for clean air and an iMac Desktop Computer providing students the opportunity to read and write music using Sibelius notation software, record their lessons in audio or video format, develop their own compositions using Apple’s GarageBand program and much more. Teachers are also able to provide each student with individualized lesson video recordings and materials via the student’s own account on a secure website called Lesson Mate. We are the only private music school in northern California to offer these unique features.

Feel free to "Bring Your Own Device" to your lesson in addition to your instrument! One of the things that has really set up apart is our focus on providing lessons that are fresh, new, and engaging. There are so many great teaching apps out there now. It can be a challenge to engage children or adults, but by integrating technology such as teaching apps from the iTunes store, GarageBand, ProTools, you name it, we are providing a cutting-edge lesson experience at the Napa School of Music.
8. Biannual Music recitals in great music halls and concerts at local venues
Show your friends and family what you can do! In January and June many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold our recitals at prestigious auditoriums such as the Performing Arts Center, Napa Valley College as they have a grand Steinway piano and world class acoustics. Part of the fun of taking lessons at The Napa School of Music is being able to participate in our recitals. We encourage students of all ages to be a part of this entertaining event. Recitals are open to family, friends and the general public. Participation in events like the Downtown Napa 4th of July Celebration, The Napa Town and Country Fair and workshops such as our Garage Band 101 program are also available

We are the only music schools in the North Bay that gives their students the opportunity to earn special colored wristband bracelets, trophies AND certificates for passing musical assessments. At Napa School of Music, we have implemented an exciting reward system called “Musical Ladder®. Students have the opportunity to earn special-colored wristbands, trophies and certificates for passing musical assessments set by their instructors. The Musical Ladder® system encourages students of all ages to work with their instructors to meet individual goals set for them. Parents can easily track their child’s progress through Musical Ladder® and adult students can challenge themselves to meet their goals.
